Presidenta REDidi: Red Iberoamericana por los Derechos de la Infancia

 

Has PhD in Educational Sciences and a Diploma in Social Work. She works as a Professor of Social Services at the University of Salamanca (USAL) and as a Foreign Visiting Professor at the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) (João Pessoa; Brazil).
She has served as Coordinator of the Degree in Social Work at USAL and as President of the Provincial Committee of UNICEF in Salamanca (2014-2019). She founded and chairs the Ibero-American Network for Teaching and Research in Children's Rights [REDidi] (2013), sponsored by the Ibero-American Institute of USAL, which brings together 42 institutions from 8 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain and Portugal). She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses (Masters and PhD) in several Spanish and European universities (Germany, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Portugal...), and has been a guest lecturer at universities in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Mexico in fields of study of her interest. 
Her research activity focuses on the rights and welfare of children and adolescents: education, violence and social services. She is a member of the Recognized Research Group (GIR): Society, Education, Violence and Childhood (SEVIN-USAL). She is a foreign collaborator of the Núcleo de Pesquisa e Estudos sobre o Desenvolvimento de Infância e Adolescência (NUPEDIA) of the UFPB and of the Research Group Direito da Criança e do Adolescente e Políticas Públicas of the Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC). She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sociology of Childhood and Adolescence Group (GSIA). She coordinates and participates in research projects on childhood studies, national and international, also object of research in the Doctoral Theses directed. She has participated as author and editor in several books and monographs, articles and proceedings of national and international conferences.
