Abstract Submission

Before submitting an abstract, please read carefully the information below.

It will be created in person session and online sessions for the presentation of oral communications, in person sessions will not be transmitted online.

Submission Rules

  • How to submit an abstract

    Abstracts are submitted on the online platform.

    When submitting an abstract, it is mandatory to fill in the following fields:

    -Thematic Area/Section

    -Type of presentation (you can choose communication or poster)

    -Title

    -Abstract (from 200 to 350 words)

    -Key words

    -If there is more than one author, indicate the respective order, name, institutional affiliation and e-mail


    Abstracts can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

    You can participate in a maximum of two proposals

  • Types of Presentation

    -Oral communication (without article for publication)

    -Oral communication (with article for publication)

    -Poster

  • Final text for publication (formatting rules)

    Valid exclusively for authors who intend to publish the communication:

    1. The text must be submitted in Word format.
    2. The files must be identified with the name of the author (or the first author if it is co-authored text) - ex. Antonio Pereira.
    3. The text can be written in one of the following languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.
    4. Texts that do not comply with the guidelines and structure described below will not be accepted.
    5. The organization of the text should follow the following formatting criteria:

    a) Maximum of 4500 words, approximately 30,000 characters (spaces included) – the Abstract and Bibliographical References must be included in this count; the text must have a justified alignment.

    b) Abstract: minimum of 200 words and maximum of 350 words; “Arial”, size 10;

    c) Between 3 to 5 keywords separated by semicolons; “Arial”, size 10;

    d) Line spacing: Single (1.0);

    e) Margins: Left 3.0 cm; Right 2.5 cm; Upper 3.0 cm; Bottom 2.5 cm.

    f) Font for body text: “Arial”, size 11.

    g) Font for highlighted quotations in the body of the text and footnotes: “Arial”, size 10.

    h) Title of the text: “Arial”, bold, size 12 points, centered alignment;

    i) Authors' names and affiliation: “Arial”, size 10; right alignment; affiliation in italics;

    j) Tables, graphs, figures: A. Numbered; B. Title above the table/graph/image; C. Source below table/graph/image; D. In shades of grey/black

    2.2 Norms for bibliographic referencing: APA (7th Ed.)

  • Posters formatting rules

    Format: Printed in A0 with 1189mm Height X 841mm width.
    Language: Portuguese, Spanish or English.
